How do I get to the shrine?

The shrine is at Kavirayapuram, about 2 km north-east of Nilakkottai town in Dindigul District. Nilakkottai is well connected by bus from Dindigul (≈25 km) and Madurai (≈45 km); from the Nilakkottai bus stand, autos and local buses reach the shrine. The nearest railheads are Dindigul Junction and Madurai Junction, and the nearest airport is Madurai (IXM). See Plan Your Visit for full directions.

Is there parking for buses and cars?

Yes — the shrine campus has parking space for cars and pilgrimage buses. On First Fridays and feast days, arrive early as the grounds fill quickly.

Can I bring a group without prior notice?

Small groups are always welcome. For bus pilgrimages and large groups, please inform the parish office in advance — especially for Fridays — so seating and arrangements can be planned.

What should I wear?

Modest attire appropriate for a place of worship is expected — shoulders and knees covered. Comfortable footwear is recommended, as pilgrims may spend time on the open campus.

Can I request a Mass online?

Yes. Use the Prayer Requests page and tick the option to request a Mass for your intention. See the Donate page for stipend guidance; the office will confirm the date if you share contact details.

How do I submit a prayer intention or testimony?

Prayer intentions can be submitted on the Prayer Requests page and are offered during the Friday Novena. Testimonies of favours received can be shared on the Testimonials page; they are reviewed by the parish office before publishing.

Is there accommodation nearby?

Lodges and hotels are available in Nilakkottai, Dindigul and Madurai. Contact the parish office for guidance on lodging closest to the shrine.

Is the shrine wheelchair accessible?

The campus is accessible for elderly and differently-abled pilgrims. Wheelchair users are advised to come with an assistant; contact the office beforehand if you need particular help.

When is the best time to avoid crowds?

Weekday mornings are the quietest. First Fridays are naturally the busiest, with thousands attending the special Novena; the October feast and Holy Week also draw festival crowds.

Is photography allowed?

Personal photography is generally permitted on the campus. Please be discreet during Mass and devotions, and ask the parish office before any commercial filming or drone photography.
